Where We Work

San Francisco Fire & Water Damage Reconstruction Contractor

Coast Construction provides licensed reconstruction services in San Francisco after major fire, water, smoke, impact, and structural losses. We provide emergency board-up and manage full permanent reconstruction for damaged homes, multifamily buildings, businesses, and other properties.

Reconstruction Contractor for Major Property Damage in San Francisco

San Francisco presents unique reconstruction challenges because of its dense neighborhoods, older building stock, multifamily properties, varied construction types, and permitting requirements. Following a significant property loss, permanent rebuilding can involve structural work, multiple building systems, code requirements, specialty trades, and careful coordination from the initial scope through final inspections.

Coast Construction provides full reconstruction after major fire, water, smoke, impact, and structural damage. We develop the project around the construction actually required to permanently restore the property rather than treating a serious loss as a collection of isolated repairs.

We work directly with insurers and thoroughly review their reconstruction position. When structural repairs, materials, code-related requirements, or other necessary project components have not been fully recognized, we document those deficiencies and bring appropriate additions or supplements to the insurer’s attention.

Our work includes reconstruction scope development, estimating, supplements, engineering and permit coordination, structural and interior rebuilding, project management, inspections, and completion of the permanent repair or rebuild.

Coast Construction has performed Bay Area reconstruction since 1983. We bring that experience to San Francisco projects where older construction, permitting, structural conditions, limited access, and multiple trades can make experienced reconstruction management especially important.

Reconstruction After Major Property Damage in San Francisco

A major San Francisco property loss can require structural investigation, engineering, building plans, permits, insurer review, code-upgrade documentation, specialty trades, inspections, and carefully sequenced construction before the property can be permanently rebuilt.

Fire Damage Reconstruction in San Francisco

Fire and smoke can spread through framing, walls, floors, utilities, and adjoining areas, particularly in older or closely spaced buildings. We reconstruct fire-damaged San Francisco properties, coordinating structural repairs, building trades, finishes, permits, inspections, and final completion.

Water Damage Reconstruction in San Francisco

Plumbing failures, roof leaks, appliance problems, firefighting water, and other major water losses can affect multiple floors and concealed building components. After stabilization, we reconstruct damaged interiors and structural areas through permanent completion.

Vehicle, Impact & Structural Damage in San Francisco

Vehicle impacts, falling trees, wind, and other structural events can damage garages, exterior walls, roofs, framing, foundations, and building facades. We coordinate engineering when required, structural repairs, specialty trades, inspections, finishes, and permanent reconstruction.

Emergency Board Up In San Francisco

Fire, vehicle collisions, storms, falling trees, and other major losses can leave a San Francisco property exposed. Emergency board-up secures damaged doors, windows, walls, roofs, and structural openings while the permanent reconstruction project is developed.

Insurer Scope Review & Supplements

The insurer’s estimate is a starting point, not necessarily the complete construction project.

Our estimators understand Xactimate, insurer estimating practices, code-upgrade requirements, supplements, and the construction documentation needed to support insurer review.

We discuss what the reconstruction project needs with the insurer and document additions when the insurer’s initial position does not fully recognize the work required to complete the project correctly.

Plans, Permits & Project Development

Where appropriate, we seek early insurer authorization for engineering, plans, and permit-related costs so project development and permitting can move while the broader reconstruction scope and pricing continue through review.

This concurrent approach can reduce avoidable delay and move the project toward permit-ready construction sooner.

Experience Reconstruction Depth That Is Hard to Duplicate

Coast Construction has performed Bay Area reconstruction work since 1983. We maintain our own field staff, self-perform major portions of our projects, and have long-standing relationships with the specialty trades required to complete complex rebuilds.

Our experience spans reconstruction scope development, insurer estimating and supplements, engineering and permits, structural work, interior rebuilding, project management, and final completion.

That depth matters on major losses, where the contractor must be able to define the project, document it, manage it, and actually build it.
